Japan has long held an aesthetic sense called “Wabi-sabi,” which means world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. THE MOSS was designed to express this spiritual world. We wanted to capture the idea of “space” or “pause.” These concepts of space, time, or a sense of distance, may not be reflected in the real world, but we designed the lense shape with the inspiration of “space.”
The “space” is beautifully mastered by GYARD craftsmen- their accurate cutting skills and beautiful luster from polishing are on full display with this piece. Just like Wabi-sabi, GROOVER itself continues to go through the process of space and time.
