In 2011, GROOVER introduced its global collection, unveiling the square-shaped model “SCOTT.” Evolving from that original design philosophy, the “NEW ENGLAND” series was born. Now, the lineage continues with the third-generation model, “DELTA.”
This series is characterized by its “Kyoku-chi” style design. “Kyoku-chi” refers to a construction technique in which the front portion of the frame gently curves toward the temples, creating a seamless, sculpted silhouette that appears as if it were molded from a single piece. While visually elegant, this method is prone to warping over time, making it a rarity among contemporary eyewear brands.
To achieve this distinctive form, GROOVER employs 8mm Takiron acetate, utilizing the thickness of the material to craft a “Kyoku-chi-inspired” design. This delicate process can only be realized through hands-on craftsmanship, representing the very essence of GYARD’s artisanal mastery.
The square frame featuring the “Kyoku-chi” design subtly exudes a refined British sensibility, embodying GROOVER’s unique world—one where tradition and innovation coexist in perfect harmony.
